I have found this an absolutely fascinating subject and I hope you do too. There will, no doubt, be some factual errors, for instance I am still trying to find out if Christopher Wren did find traces of a Roman temple under St. Paul’s Cathedral, some websites say he did others that he didn’t. At some point, I will have to go back to the original sources and find out; the Guildhall Library in London is probably the best bet.
